Eric Clapton Auctioning Off Guitars For Charity

Eric Clapton has held charity auctions before, and this time he’s reaching into his own guitar collection- including a guitar he played with Cream.
The legendary guitarists’ collection is being dipped into to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, which was established in 1998 to treat drug and alcohol addiction.

Among the guitars set to be offered is Clapton’s primary guitar for the 2005 Cream reunion tour, which is expected to go for around $24,000. He’s also digging out a couple of Marshall amps from the 1970s during his time with Derek and the Dominos.
Jeff Beck is also expected to contribute some of his own guitars to the auction. If only all entertainers were this philanthropic…
