It turns out the details of Sammy Hagar’s new autobiography were even crazier than we once thought. The former Van Halen frontman details in one chapter his supposed abduction by aliens.

In a Q&A with MTV Hive promoting Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock, Sammy revealed his passion for UFOs, mystical creatures, and alien life forms.

He also went into great detail on his own alien abduction, which he is totally convinced actually happened.

“Aliens were plugged into me. It was a download situation,” said Hagar, who is sure that the aliens either downloaded something to his brain or uploaded something from it.

“I’m pretty sure it was a wireless situation,” he continued. “They were tapped into my brain and the knowledge was transferred back and forth. I could see them and everything while it was happening. There was a visual involved, almost like…I don’t know. [Laughs] Don’t get me going!”

Of course, the book also digs up plenty of the dirt involving the sex, drugs and rock & roll of Hagar’s wild life in the ’70s and ’80s that Hagar and Van Halen fans hoped for. But that was expected. An alien abduction? That came out of nowhere.
