WZLX wishes a Happy birthday to Alice Cooper! The first album he ever did, with the original band called Alice Cooper, came out in July of 1969 and was not a success. What was its name?
Here’s the rest of the Rock N’ Roll Diary for February 4:

- 1979: A month-long memorabilia auction began in San Francisco to benefit the Save the Whales campaign. Among the items auctioned off: John Travolta’s leather jacket from Grease, Alice Cooper’s five-foot boa constrictor, a Paul Kantner guitar, and a Cheech & Chong bong.
- 2001: Jimmy Buffett was ordered by NBA referee Joe Forte to give up his courtside seat due to the use of profanity.
